2018

Sauvignon Blanc

$50.00 ea.

The second release of the Crossroads Sauvignon Blanc continues to shine, especially during an incredible vintage, such as 2018. The 2018 vintage was nearly seamless in terms of weather, leading to ample fruit production. A mild spring, complemented by steady temperatures, allowed for an ideal growing season. Starting on September 4th, an unhurried harvest allowed us to pick for balance and optimal ripeness for all three varieties that grow on our Mt. Veeder Estate—Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, and Semillon.

Winemaker Notes

The 2018 Crossroads Sauvignon Blanc from the Rudd Mt. Veeder Estate begins with powerful aromatics of nectarine, fennel, and honeysuckle flowers. These aromatics translate from nose to palate in their intensity, evolving into a bright and refreshing wine. A balance of grapefruit and apricot show off the wine’s layered nature, rounding out the mid-palate with its rich structure and depth. With endless length, the energy and texture of this wine continues to impress with every sip. Crossroads Sauvignon Blanc is intended to be appreciated upon release.
